Considering the Cinema Ep. 072: The Weekly Watchlist – Chekhov’s Gun

Considering Horror Cinema Ep. 072: The Weekly Watchlist

Great news! Considering the Cinema episodes are finally back, and we will earnestly strive to release them weekly! Jason Pyles (aka Jay of the Dead), his co-host, Mack Robins (aka Mackula), and the esteemed host of The DVD Infatuation Podcast, Dave “Dr. Shock” Becker will bring you a new, short-form format called THE WEEKLY WATCHLIST, which should release on Fridays. Here’s how it works: Jay, Mack and Dave have zero “movie-watching homework.” We are completely free each week to watch whatever we want from any era, year, genre, country, etc! We can finally go through our own personal watchlists and catch up with the films we’ve been meaning to see. So, every week will be vastly different. Let us know what you think of this format. Join us!

Notes: This episode is dedicated to The Wise One, Dr. Rick Moody. It was recorded on June 30, 2024, and it released on August 9, 2024.

Jay of the Dead also hosts a WEEKLY HORROR MOVIE PODCAST with Mister Watson at Horror Movie Weekly.com. And of course, every Horror fan should check out Jay of the Dead’s New Horror Movies, The Gold Standard of Horror Movie Podcasts.

Thanks for listening to Considering the Cinema Podcast and Considering Horror Cinema, The Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of Movie Podcasting… Don’t forget: You can email Jay, Mack and even Dr. Shock at ConsideringTheCinema@gmail.com or post a comment in the show notes for this episode.

  1. It’s Celebration Time, Baby!!! So awesome to have this show back with regular episodes! I’ve always loved your style of podcasting, the way you handle the moderating and production of your shows and, of course, I truely love listening to you talking about movies over all, of any genre, old and the new ones. Don’t get me wrong, I looove Dave’s Show here as well!! It’s one of my favourite podcast format, period. Throughout his show, Dave provided and educated me with movies that I might never consider watching or even discover.
But I’m so very glad to get more Jason Pyles and hosts for my weekly podcast fix! Thank you and your hosts so much for your passion and dedication for all of your projects. Yours Stefan
    p. s. Jay, you are a great guy, thanks for beeing there. My love goes out…

  2. Wow, Stefan! Thank you! I really appreciate reading this encouraging feedback. I’m just relieved people haven’t forgotten about Considering the Cinema altogether! We now have three Weekly Watchlist episodes released — and several more recorded, so you’ve got more coming your way. We’re having A LOT of fun with these particular episodes. I would liken it to the luxury of being able to fall asleep exactly when you want to… (Think about how rare that is… I’m often tired, but I can rarely sleep at that moment.) Well, for me it’s the same kind of luxury when I’m able to watch whatever I’m in the mood to watch, right that very second! Anyway, thanks again for your kind words. So grateful you’re listening. -J
