Jay of the Dead, I’m interested in your take on the use of the chef’s knife in horror movies.
We all know what a chef’s knife is, right? This standard piece of kitchen cutlery for meats and vegetables has also become the standard cutlery for stabbing, hacking and slicing up horror movie victims (maybe because of Michael Myers).
Also, the chef’s knife can be used by the good guys to fight off killers and monsters.
I’m wondering, Jay of the Dead, speaking from your experience with the martial arts, how useful is a chef’s knife as a combat weapon? Like, if there’s a killer-monster coming at me, and there I am next to the the knife block on my counter, which knife should I reach for?
Loving this podcast, Jay of the Dead!
